Guidance

I could write a lot here about a lot of things, but the key really is that you are free to use any or all the parts I've included however you like.  The score and lead sheets are a reasonably good, but (because this Mass is always evolving) not perfect) transcription of what I play in my own Masses; and in fact even I depart from my own composition from time to time.

Examples

Here are some examples of how I might change the Mass, myself

1. I usually do the whole thing with one instrument, my guitar - and that's good enough - after all, we're doing this to lead our congregations, not to perform to them :-)

2.  Secondly, I sometimes repeat particular phrases (e.g. "Hosanna in the Highest" in the Sanctus) if I feel the congregation want to do that.   â€‹

3. I vary the speeds (I've sung the Gloria as slowly as 120 bpm, and as quickly as 132 bpm - it depends on the congregation and the "mood") and I vary keys (I've written the Sanctus in C, but my congregation seem to sing it better if it's in D).

Also, take a look at the key change before the final refrain in the Gloria - I've included it to bring a feel of triumph to the song, but it's not for everyone, and you don't have to do it if you don't want.

For further insight, for those who are interested, I'll post an extra sheet for you to download...  â€‹I'll do this as soon as I can,  please be patient with me
